Not with a whimper, but with a bang.

2015 had many ups and downs, although the more I think about it, there seemed to be many more ups than there were downs, at least for the first part of the year. January gave me the opportunity to see one of my favorite comedians, Christopher Titus, live in a small theater in downtown Grand Rapids. I met some great people, and lost a few people I thought had potential for something other than friendship, but it is what it is. June brought me to a milestone, I turned 30. Believe me, I wasn't a fan of that. June also was when one of my best friends came to visit me from Vermont, that was a lot of fun, as well as the release of the HIGHLY anticipated Arkham Knight... which I have yet to finish. Yes, I'm a terrible gamer. I got 6 new tattoos over the course of the year, and believe me, I'm not done. I'm working on a whole leg sleeve of Batman characters. October is when my life changed. Back in July I met someone through a geek dating site, and went out on a date with him. I originally dismissed anything more than a friendship with him, but I was also pining for someone who wasn't right for me, though at the time I didn't realize it. Anyway, things between this new guy and I changed in October, after I let go the one who I was pining for. After almost 6 years of living the single life (if you don't count the guy I briefly dated last year, who wouldn't even consider me to be his girlfriend, but wouldn't let me date anyone else), I made things official with this new guy, David. It's been a long time since I've been so happy with someone, and I can't wait to see what good things 2016 holds for the two of us. I adore this man, he adores me and treats me like a motherfuckin' princess. I love him.
